PrettyQR

Pretty QR is a free, browser-based QR code generator that lets you create beautiful, fully customized QR codes without signing up.

It started when I saw a heart-shaped QR code on a billboard of an airport and thought “that’s cool”. I started thinking about how a QR code could be made to look like a heart in a visually appealing way and decided to build an editor for that. It turned into a generic QR code editor.

On PrettyQR, you can encode URLs, plain text, Wi-Fi credentials, contact cards, emails, and phone numbers, then style the result with custom colors, logos, dot shapes, eye shapes, and frames. Codes can be exported in PNG, SVG, or JPG at any resolution, ready for print or digital use.

Built with Next.js and React, and Canvas it offers real-time preview as you design, a library of ready-made templates to start from, and a changelog tracking new features over time. Everything runs client-side.
